Fruiting Pink Rose Cactus (pereskia grandifolia)

Grandifolia is a leafy, woody, prickly cactus shrub, native to forests of Central America. Grandifolia grows to a about 12 feet tall with large, aromatic flowers resembling rose blossoms. The alien looking fruits are lumpy, flat on the sides end and greenish-purple in color. They may or may not be edible, at this time it is unknown but this plant is still well worth growing as an impenetrable hedge or potted ornamental
